Digital Storytelling-Based Tasks on Speaking Classroom; Seen from ESL Learners’ Lenses

Over the course of a decade, digital storytelling (DST) has earned growing amount attention as strong instructional resource that grabbed interest scholars. Digital emerged promising pedagogical approach could help moderate usefulness media in classroom. Myriad studies have demonstrated positive effects on students’ language skills; however, these rarely include ESL students and their realistic depictions everyday basis. To address void, this quantitative study aimed to survey students' point view DST-based task speaking Relying Anwar's (2016) TBLT instruction, current involving thirty-four studying at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia. The statistical evidence indicated perceive implementation storytelling-based tasks improves motivation while allowing them develop ideas collaborate among groupmates. Implications recommendations for future are discussed.
